I feel my taste in music tends to be pretty accepting of stuff (for the most part), like im more likely to say "its alright" over hating a song be that a cover, a remix or an original song

But i do feel like things like songs like "welcome to the internet" or "the ruler of everything" are kinda like an exepction

Like not to downplay the parodies but i feel those are the kinda songs i havent heared a good remix or cover that makes me go "yeah this on par with the original

#txtalk #not to act like i think they are bad in tecnical standar tho #i mean the best thing a cover can do is to improved/change stuff of the original #a cover (or a remix) that is just the original with a new coat of paint usually isnt that intersting or note worthy #i mean “god wish you merry gentlemen” remixes for example is the opposite of this for me (like the simple slow+echo are cool)#tho i do feel that is due to people reintepreting that song into a different direction #which people do in their parodies/covers of the songs i listed dont get me wrong... i just think the base line is a little more up #maybe im just being a hater but there is part of me thinks that the way the songs express emotions and themes cant get quite replicated #at least not in anyways i have seen
